At 10,000+ feet the stars and moon feel a lot closer. The air is clearer and magic abounds.
We were camping at Molas Lake (10,850 ft) near Silverton, CO and had an awesome view of the sky and the stars after our fire died down. For a brief time the moonlight lit up a few trees and then it was gone behind the clouds.
