On days like this when the rest of the world is bracing for the onslaught of winter weather, I relish the warmth of the coast and the remote islands around the low country. This island, Bulls Island is 5,000 acres of dense maritime forest, miles of hiking trails and fresh water ponds teeming with wildlife. On the north end of the seven mile long beach is the infamous Boneyard, where the forest has been stranded on the sea shore over time.
I’m really excited to lead an overnight expedition to this island in mid march. The small group of participants are staying in the house for two nights with water and electricity and enjoying low country inspired meals prepared by our own chef. This is going to be one of the best trips of the year and a great way to escape the cold that’s brewing in the rest of the country.
We still have a couple of spots left. Hit the website to learn more and come join us and escape the cold. 😉
