Still Standing

Earlier this week I met up with Josh Carlisle and Tommy White who ventured down from North Carolina to shoot the trees at Botany Bay. The roots must be pretty deep because somehow they manage to stand upright through all the storms that come our way. You would think that any hurricane that brushes past us would take all of them out, and yet they still hold on.

Then this weekend, Peyton Hale and Colby Brown came down to shoot the same scene and I met up with them early this morning. Needless to say, I’ve had ample opportunity this week to capture these trees. Be that as it may this place is so unique that it will never get old.

This particular shot is from Monday when the tide was pretty far out. We rushed to get in the gate before sunrise, and this was one of the first shots I lined up for.
