I went out to the beach this morning after waking up really early and was greeted with a very low tide. Water was streaming out in little rivers from the constant tidal pools or tidal lakes as there are at this spot. While the dolphins were swimming around chasing fish for breakfast, I composed a few shots in and around this rocky pool and little stream. I didn’t realize how colorful oysters can be.

If you zoom way into this shot you can see a person in the sandbank just to the right of the sun. He or she, I couldn’t tell, had swum out through the pretty strong current to that sandbank and was searching around. I assume that he/she was looking for shells. It was a good morning for finding them.

Sometimes it’s good to fall asleep with the kids at 8pm, then you can wake up early and catch moments like these.
