A few weeks ago Josh Carlisle and I jumped in Kayaks with all our gear and paddled out to Capers Island about 3 miles offshore from Charleston. It took us a little bit to squash it all in but eventually we were ready to go. As we paddled through the creeks and sound we witnessed an incredible light show and dramatic sky and only barely made it to the beach in time before the sun set.
Camping on the beach next to the crashing surf is truly an excellent experience, even in January in Charleston.
This piece of driftwood is by far the most interesting piece I have ever seen. Let me know if you agree?
