This was captured in Newport, Rhode Island on Atlantic Beach in between raindrops. Dean and I were not sure if there was enough light left but we had fun trying not to slip on the rocks and keeping our fingers and toes warm.
Technical Mumbo Jumbo
Nikon D80 at 11mm, ISO 100, f/8 for 308 seconds. At just over 5 minutes I ended up with a few hot spots even on such a cold night. I wonder how the new camera will perform with this sensor noise. This longer shutter speed captures the dreamy misty water in this scene and I’m excited to try more of these in the future.
