I just got back from a 2 week whirlwind trip around Colorado. It was incredible, such a beautiful state. We also made a little side trip over to Utah to visit the mountain biking mecca that is Moab and to visit Arches, Canyonlands and Dead Horse Parks. Wow has Moab grown since I was there 13 years ago. We timed it just right and the aspens were turning brilliant shades of yellow, gold and even brilliant orange. Due to our remote locations, we had very little power and next to no internet or cell phone service, and as a result I have been pretty quiet on here. I now have over 5000 images to organize and process and it is a little overwhelming. Stay tuned to see some amazing landscapes. 🙂
This is one of the last images that I captured. Commonly called the Chapel on the Rock, it is officially Saint Catherine of Siena’s Chapel and is very popular. It is an extremely photogenic spot with a small reflection pool and Mount Meeker in the background which was conveniently lightly dusted with fresh snow.
