Aspens showing off all their color.
I was looking to get an abstract image of the beautiful golden color and I knew I wanted mostly gold and some tree trunks in the frame.
How did I get this image? I found the perfect spot and bumped up the shutter speed a little bit and moved the camera vertically starting at the top of the trees and moving downwards in a straight line. By reviewing the results on the screen I determined that 1/10th of a second was the right shutter speed for the amount of movement I was getting and then all I needed to do was to try and stay in alignment with the trees. Once I got to the computer I used Lightroom to bump up the contrast and clarity, add a little to the highlights and blacks and increase the vibrance to pull out those great colors. I hope you enjoy!
