This twisted tree stood all alone at the top of Black Canyon where the wind unimpeded tried it’s best to blow it over. I am always amazed at how life struggles to survive in the most harsh conditions. Despite all the odds this juniper tree appears to be flourishing.
In another 40 feet the ground disappears and the river floor is 2,500 feet down.

thought the workshop was great and really appreciated the way that you handled the field work.
