I went out to the beach as Tropical Storm Andrea came overhead. I had heard that the swells would be 8+ feet and I had to see that. We always get an influx of surfers and it makes for some excellent entertainment even in a little rain. The wind was howling and the eye was just over Charleston as I got out there. Then the eye was above us and the wind died a little. When I say a little I mean it died down from 45mph to about 30mph. 🙂
Anyway the light was glorious and as the sun rose it started to shine through the clouds and selectively light up the water and beach. This single person walking the beach in the glorious light was incredible and I quickly snapped a few images. I also had just got my Really Right Stuff tripod and was captivated by how much smoother it was to operate and how much more stable it was than my Manfrotto. I’ll do a review soon.
In the meantime enjoy this image!
